There is something enchanting and magical in black colour. It can be both demonical and subtle, strong and delicate, androgynous and feminine at the same time. We have fallen in love with this Fall/Winter's 2012 romantic vision of a sorceress dressed all in black living in the amazing fantasy world. This gothic picture we've been drooling over for many years suddenly has been brought to the runways thanks to several designers. We blame the whole vampire trend but that's fine to us especially that Riccardo Tisci created this bewitching Anne Rice's "An Interview with the Vampire" inspired collection with black and red lace dresses, black gothic dandy pantsuits, pale skin and dark make-up. We have also listed the Pre-Raphaelites beauties at Gucci, wearing black long chiffon gowns decorated with black flowers. It was so magical we're quite sure that models on the runway were casting some secret spells on us. And it has definitely worked!

Gucci Fall/Winter 2012
Dark lips, dyed brows, long hair with sides pulled back in a kind of Medieval style and those stunning black flowers on chiffon transparent black gowns created a truly romantic mood for Fall. Frida Giannini at Gucci has taken us into a ravishing dark fairytale.

Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter 2012
A Sicilian woman is a favourite subject of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Black lace dresses are their signature designs. That's how we would imagine a sexy black widow.

Valentino Fall/Winter 2012
Continuing their romantic vision for Valentino Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli swapped Summer nudes into dark richly decorated lace and chiffon for their favourite witch - Maria Callas' Medea.
