PARIS PART 1

THE FASHION MONTH has come to an end (actually it was a week ago!) and we've finally managed to think about the whole Fall/Winter 2012 season. There were so many shows we liked that we decided to simply divide them into each fashion capital. This is going to be a honestly subjective review of our favourite collections.

CACHAREL has never disappointed girly girls and romantics.
Ling Liu and Dawei Sun's inspiration was Amelia Earhart, the first women who flew over the Atlantic Ocean. We could see her presence in small details like aviator hats, a bit masculine wool jumpsuits and trousers and, of course, colours of the sky: mostly cold blue. Cacharel brought back the 20. decade with the boxy coats worn over chiffon delicate dresses and tiny round hats exactly the same as Angelina Jolie was wearing in "Challenging".
With Cacharel we can safely remain with our heads in the clouds.

CHLOE Clare Weight Keller is a Brit girl in Paris and that influenced her second collection for Chloe. A cool London girl met a nonchalant Parisian who wears silky blouses, beautiful pastel coats and jackets, British tartan and drop waist dresses. For an evening she chooses to be underdressed than overdressed (Inez de la Fressange says it's a crucial rule for Parisians) having an asymmetrical top with golden simple skirt or long black gown with a bow detail as the only decoration. We are really smitten and thank you Clare Weight Keller for not dropping pastels for Fall!

DIOR Marc Jacobs is going to Dior (and taking his whole team with him). Oh, flowers addressed for Haider Ackermann at Dior headquarters! Raf Simmons is being scouted and departing Jil Sander for Dior. Christopher Kane is leaving Donatella for Dior. Maxime Simoens is also in the line. Actually, everyone is going to Dior! We are really happy that in the middle of this hilarious affair Bill Gaytten was able to design such a versatile, down to earth and elegant collection. We bet all the princesses of this world are on a waiting list for those truly beautiful pieces (if not - they should be!).
