THE ANALOGUE GIRL

ELLEN ROGERS If you haven't heard about her it's about time. A fashion photographer who is like nobody else. First of all, she has gracefully avoided the digital era by working only on traditional analogue camera. She doesn't use photoshop or any kind of computer technology for her photography, only experimenting with darkroom process. The effect is absolutely outstanding: blurry, dreamy and dark pictures that look like old paintings. Her models are delicate like heroines of Pre-Raphaelites art: beautiful, subtle, ethereal women wearing flowers and white clothes. This modern Ophelia aesthetics brings magic to contemporary fashion and we have to admit: we're enchanted.

Ellen's uniqueness has been appreciated by the best in the fashion idustry. She has created lookbooks for Charlotte Olympia shoes, has worked with such magazines as i-D, Dazed and Confused, Glass Magazine, Milk, Tank, Vision and also Lomography, Elite Models, Piers Atkinson and Next Models.
