Orla Kiely Spring 2012 lookbook

Orla Kiely is an Irish designer based in London. A graduate from Royal College of Art in London started her brand in 1997 just with a hats range. After her father had noticed that during London fashion Week nobody wore hats but everyone carried a handbag Orla Kiely decided to design women's bags. Today her label contains a whole range of items: clothes, accessories, stationery and home decorations. Named "The queen of prints" by The Guardian Kiely specializes in playful patterns with the 60's twist. Mostly known for her 'stem' print (also in Orla Kielys's logo) she uses them to decorate everything in her collections, from clothes to interiors.

Orla Kiely's talent has been used in various projects. She designed a range of Citroen DS3 cars and also collections for Marks&Spencer and Habitat. She has also collaborated with water filter company Brita to create a refillable water bottle "Wottle". No surprise here - the bottle was decorated with her green stem print.

Girly full skirts, 50's or A-line dresses similar to those worn by Mia Farrow in "Rosemary's Baby", cute straw hats, platforms and retro blouses are signature designs of Orla Kiely.
